Deeply worrying imho, not sure how it will be implemented,, just one of those pop up age verification thingy;s or something more invasive?

There has to be something better that finds the balance between protecting our civil liberties as free thinking adults whilst protecting kids?

Britain is truly the first heading into an Orwellian nightmare!

I believe as an adult you have to opt in and you'll be fine, or use a VPN or many of the other workarounds that will be available

I have to do that already with my mobile provider but not my home isp. No one is ever gonna stop me from watching porn so if worse comes to worse i'd use a VPN.

I can't honestly see how UK laws would apply to non-UK countries? Like xxx is gonna pay out £250K in fines whenever any of us UK pervs come onto this place when the site doesn't comply with our ridiculous law?

Incredulous

Damn, that is shitty news. It's got to be annoying as hell to have to opt-in to say you are OK with adult content. It should be the other way around -> If you don't like adult content (100% legal), then opt-in to have your internet access filtered.

Was there much uproar when they banned face sitting and other acts? I can only imagine the levels of hypocrisy from the folks legislating this.

More derision of our seriously backward attitude to sex and porn. Remember hardcore porn was banned until about 2000 in this country. Despite are nanny state attitudes we have the largest teenage pregnancy rate in Europe I believe, says a lot, building this stigma. We are also the most 'watched' nation on earth. I expect things will be getting a lot worse also, especially if Theresa May gets her wicked way

Its not something I'm overly concerned about as the British Government did a really good job of banning Torrent sites in the UK, oh thats right they didn't
