Yeah I agree. I only joined in December and like you it was after a good few years of thinking porn was dead post-Private (or at least their heyday pre-initial bankruptcy in about 2008) and post-Christoph Clark. The only things I could find were generally either too tame, too American (silicon-heavy, women dressing and acting like little girls etc.) or too aggressive (throat-grabbing and face-slapping by way of substitution for hard sex etc.) Your/my re-enthusiasm is a little bit of a recurring theme on these forums so certainly not a fluke.
I was initially worried about the "gonzo" style and the uniformity of the sets (that same white room etc.) but a couple of months in I think it has pleasantly surprised me. It's all about the incredible sex appetites of the girls really and the fact that the guys generally perform really well - these easily override any other drawbacks. There is a little bit of the aggressive male behaviour/showboating that I hate but thankfully not too much.
In terms of the pure strength of the scenes it's pretty much next level. The fact that there is DAP etc. and that the scenes are really long is less a "wow" with me than the fact that the girls take very hard anal right from the outset of the scenes (or at least, from the point the guys enter) and mostly seem to love it. That's amazing and something I haven't really seen before. A combination of LP finding the best nasty, uninhibited girls and providing them with the best environment in which to shine. Long may it continue!
You'll probably find you buy the odd dud scene (for whatever reason you constitute a dud - for me it's normally when a girl is noticeably uncomfortable with the sex or the guys are too aggressive with their hands/barking out orders etc.) but that most you like the look of from the trailers are winners.
As others have said, it is addictive! But the value-for-money is pretty good all in all.
