You got it all wrong. You have to ask, would they enter porn at all now? Clearly most wouldn't as there are better job opportunities now, particularly with free movement in EU. It's a real sense of nostalgia to think about retired porn stars and what they are up to now.

I like to think and imagine that they have made enough money and are content with whatever life they are now living.
That is much more preferable to the cold, hard truth where a lot of porn stars have ended up passing away (some by suicide), were/are in jail, became bankrupt, had mental health issues etc.

Something I was unaware of is the amount of "retired" stars that still do custom stuff on sites like OF. I recently found out my favorite star of all time was still, in fact, active on OF, even though she "retired" years ago. Many might leave for personal reasons, family, children, whatever, and decide to return once that part of their life is complete. Empty nest syndrome and all that. People do a lot of things, different or familiar, once the nest is empty.
