porn benefits from being accessible to everyone in the world with internet access and because it's dialogue free it can be enjoyed by any culture, so the market is huge. And even though probably most people watch it illegally, there is enough people paying for it to make it profitable.

that being said i used to like brazilian porn and that one pretty much disappeared due to piracy. so the marketing has to be aimed at people willing to pay for it, if it wants to survive.
