Upgrade older videos to 4K Ultra HD

LP are sitting on an absolute gold mine of great scenes that were filmed in 4K but were released before they started publishing 4K videos.

I only watch 4K videos and would buy loads of these scenes featuring Timea Bella, Karina Grand, Claire See, and the pre-boob job Simony Dimond, Blanche Bradburry, Mea Malone.

I am sure loads of other people would also be interested in buying those if LP re-encoded them and released them as 4K.

I doubt it was shot in 4K. Besides, 1080p vs 4K, meh... Between 1080p HDR, and regular 4K, 1080p HDR wins hands down, no contest.

I'm sure someone at LP mentioned previously that they've been filming in 4K for several years and planned to upgrade older videos. I've got loads of tickets that I'm not using cos most of newer scenes are mostly disappointing but if these older ones came in improved quality then I would use them up quite quickly

The sad thing is they are so lazy that even when they release older scenes now (the back catalog) they only release them in 720p.
It is a shame and it means I don't buy them.
I wrote in the support forum I would gladly pay 1 ticket per scene to fund the hassle and bandwidth on their part of them upgrading the cream of their older scenes to 1080 (or 4k).
I presume they were edited in 1080 at least so why they don't just hire someone to do this is beyond me. Seems such a waste and a lack of respect for their own work.

Most older scenes were shot in 1080p or even 720p.

It would be an insane waste of resources doing it in house, since every recent well branded 4k TV have high quality video-processing unit that can do wonders upscaling lower resolution content to 4k.
Some do it better than others but generally it's very high quality. Just play those videos directly from your TV.

Second best option is it you are using a computer to play those videos, just set the resolution to the maximum resolution of your videos and let your TV do the upscaling.

The least option is if you have a computer with 4k LCD monitor, just use free software player like VLC or Media Player Classic and make sure they utilize video-processing built in your graphics card hardware. LP still releases videos only in H.264 codec, so if your graphics card is either AMD, Nvidia or Intel about 3 years old or newer, you are fine.

Thanks for these tips but still want them to be upgraded at source to 4K!!!

I think Kapoun previously mentioned that LP started shooting in 4K since around 2014/15. This means so many LP's gems are only available in shitty quality!

If other websites such as PG can go through their back catalogue and upgrade videos to 4K then no reason why LP can't do it. Plus LP previously promised to do it but still haven't delivered!

The thing is they will earn from this. Many people these days only buy 4K scenes, and also any new customers that come stumbling across LP for the first will get hooked by the sheer range and quality available.

LP need to quit messing around and just hire some dude to begin this work already. To make it manageable, perhaps they could prioritize best-sellers first before working on some of the others.
