I tried using different browsers to see if it was just adblock or the browser but Chat doesn't work under any browser with no adblock.

It is giving the following error.
Issue with chat \"Connecting ...\" ? Please desactivate ADBlock in chrome://extensions/ (Chrome) or about:addons (Firefox) (Only white-listing is not working).

Any thoughts on this or a fix? Or just temporarily down?

I just tried and got the same error, using Edge. I've not knowingly changed anything on my PC since I last had this working OK. This is what it looks like for me in case it helps:

Should be fixed now. It is working for me again.

Just to confirm this now looks back to normal for me.
