Login problem

About 2 days ago, I found I couldn't log into the website. The Login button appeared about 2 secs after the rest of the home page. And then after submitting usesrname and p/w , I get "Can't connect to authentication service. Please reload page and repeat" - which of course didn't work.
The bizarre workaround is to get my pc to use the mobile hotspot on my phone, rather than hardwired internet , so I'm using the mobile data service rather than my usual ISP. And that works fine! Login button arrives concurrently with rest of home page and I can log in. I then turn on the ethernet and turn off the mobile data.

So presumably a problem with my ISP, which is BT in the UK.
(I've rebooted the router and that didn't help)

Anyone got any bright suggestions on how to fix this, or having or had the same problem?

I know with Sky internet it is automatically set up to prevent access to adult sites, perhaps BT has updated there service?

This happens with ISPs sometimes. You can try using a VPN, that should help.
