POLL : Which video protection do you want LP to use ?

.
(1) The small black dots that would appear only a few times during a video. Duration: only 1 frame each time. 2016 and earlier.
(2) The large pulsing patches of yellow skin that appear throughout an entire video. 2016 - present.
I want LP to bring back the dots.

Could somebody explain to me what purpose either actually serves please? All scenes have LegalPorno written in the corner of the screen throughout anyway, and none of these forms of 'protection' prevent piracy.
Genuine question.

Other companies don't use protection too, so why LP. But if I had to choose I prefer the black dots over the yellow marks.

I would prefer if neither were used.
Or that they get a really tech savvy person
Who can figure out a way that a computer can detect these things but not a human eye.
Or that they offer videos without the yellow flashes to the users who's been supporting LP for a significant amount of time.
You know we like LP, not in the same way we like other products.
For instance, I'm not loyal to the detergent that I use to wash my clothes. I usually just buy whatever detergent makes the most sense, ie price. And is there same for the majority of things.
But when it comes to porn, LP is THE porn company to support.
Like, I care about the people who make it all happen, the actors, the producers, the makeup people, everyone...
LP, is like a futbol team. It's a more passionate driven relationship between fans and creators IMO.
It's not like we are gonna start pirating everything if you stop annoying us, your supporting fans, the moment those pesky yellow flashes are gone.

None of protection would be perfect.

Waste of time bumping, no-one seems to care about quality or yellow boxes flashing on the models face! I am bothered but not many other people are, it seems.

I might be wrong, but my understanding is that each one is an individual pattern generated for that particular download, so that if it then appears on a torrent site, the user who leaked it can be identified and have their account blocked. Which, I'm fine with in principal.
HOWEVER, whilst this didn't used to be noticeable to me at a smaller size, now I've switched to watching the scenes on a new 55" 4K TV, the yellow blocks are really noticeable and distracting. I get why they need to have them - but do they have to be so frequent as to go on for an entire scene (rather than just the first few minutes), and do they have to occur in the middle of the screen. THe poor girl I was watching yesterday kept constantly having large yellow squares flashing on her face - it was VERY distracting, and a shame when the rest of the video quality was so high. If there could be some way this watermark would be less distracting, it would be hugely appreciated.

Dave Bowman is correct, the flashing yellow square is very distracting indeed. I watch on a 65 inch 4K display and the video is spectacular the square is very annoying and shows up on skin often the girls face. Hope there's an alternative. I'm for paying and reducing piracy creates better porn but this needs attention. also reducing the LegalPorno would help and make it translucent. Looms odd on a large displaywhich is the best way for immersive porn. Thanks

The larger the screen and/or the closer you sit the more noticeable the yellow pulsing boxes become. On a 110" projected screen they can get annoying but my mind kinda just blocks them out at this point.
For me the bigger issue is the LegalPorno logo. It leaves an after-image on my 55" plasma. It would also leave an after-image on OLED screens. Making it translucent would be a huge step to eliminating this problem.

I still don't believe it's a protection. IMHO it's just a stupidly crafted watermark. C'mon it's 2019, use DRM...

I can't seem to tune it out. The yellowish square showing up on Sandra Soul's beautiful body and face is a problem. Hope there's a plan to replace this.

@LP
Please address this issue. Every new scene is immediately available as a torrent, so the yellow patches only ruin the scenes.
I will not subscribe until the yellow patches are removed in favor of the old black dot system. Thank you

I never understood the yellow patches, now it turns out that it is an anti-piracy measure, finally the disadvantaged we are the legal users because this mesure dont works.

Maybe somebody can explain but they can deactivate the account for the user they trace it back to, I'm guessing. But yea, the paying users suffer.
I bought a 65 inch LG OLED display (best picture quality available currently on the market) and LP videos specifically Giorgio's are the best. So clear and immersive in 4K, absolutely the best way to watch porn. Frustrating when you see a yellow block flashing on the girls body, very distracting.
Can someone from LegalPorno comment on this? Really hope there's a solve for this. Please, let the fans know. Thanks

I am envious
I have a 55" Panasonic Plasma 1080p. OLED will be my next TV as it's the only display technology since plasma that offers deep blacks and wide viewing angles.
Question: do you have problems with image retention? Specifically, does the LegalPorno logo show on white backgrounds when you're watching other programming?

Nothing as far as image retention so far, neither temporary or permanent. I'm 4 months in and no issues. I watch sports (with logo, score update bottom ribbon etc) and no issues so far.
Yes, I was a fan of Plasma and never warmed up to LCD. Too bright, viewing from an angle was an issue and blacks were not very good. OLED solves all of these. The colors are incredible. I was looking at this TV for over a year but the price was too high. I decided to make the move because i don't see OLED becoming that common very soon due to production difficulities so might as well go for it the price wont likely go down and this is what I really wanted. I know technology changes fast but that was my guess. I got a refurbished on Amazon which took off some price. This TV is everything it was promised to be. I'd recommend it the LG models to anyone. No knowledge of the Sonys. Anyway, with the larger display and 4K resolution the blinking yellow square is hard not to notice.

I have a solution that can please everyone. Take out a version with the anti-piracy system and after a while the original version without protection for those who bought the scene. I do not know to what extent this system is effective, but the biggest sales occur when the scene is new and that is when the protection makes sense, later it makes no sense and a later version free of annoying protection for those who bought the scene would be a good option.

I think the devs have their hands full with the migration etc.
Could we revisit this some other time?

This is the bit that makes this slightly frustrating. I am paying for these scenes as I can afford it and want to support Legal Porno, and ensure they can afford to keep filming - so if the yellow squares were effective at stopping piracy it would be easier to accept this as the payoff. But as far as I can tell, every new scene is pretty much instantly available on illegal torrent sharing sites anyway - so it doesn't appear to be having much effect.

They're obviously not going to change this, let alone even reply why/why not.
But here's what I'd like to see; Can someone/anyone even prove to me that this is unique to each specific member/video? I've tried to by viewing videos that I've bought myself on my account, and also the same videos from a friends account, downloaded under his account, and in the spots where is clearly visable, going frame by frame I can't see any difference.
Also, I've even been seeing these eye-sores now in the trailers for scenes. Which really shouldn't even exist when you think about it. Why does a trailer have them? It's not needed as they're free. But regardless, for them to exist in the trailer it would've had to been cut/edited from the finished product, that was downloaded from a consumer account. Not made from the raw footage on an admin level account. Maybe this speaks more towards the "woe is me, I'm so poor" attitude/feelings you so often hear from higher level people in LP & it's studios.... They're in-efficient in their running of a global business. Nothing to be ashamed of BTW. As a business you can only pay less & charge more for so long....
Side note which I'm sure will never be answered; Why can't the yellow blocks be moved to say the bottom right corner? Have both the logo & cancer spots in the same place.

I am pretty sure the spots gets marked automatically.
They are unique and if we find a video online we can link it to the user who uploaded the vid.
