Problem with downloaded videos

Strange visual artifacts are popping up when I play downloaded files from your site.

I took a snapshot of one here:

These "bubbles" will appear for a frame or two, and I'm not sure what the cause is. I've tried playing the files with multiple players (VLC Player and Windows Media Player) and the artifacts appear every time. The artifacts are consistent, not random, so every time I play the files I will see the same artifacts.

I tried watching the video on the website and the artifacts did not appear.

Any help resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

It's part of their anti-piracy measures.

So some sort of DRM is causing the occasional bug to pop up onscreen?

Not the end of the world or anything but it is really annoying.

I'm not sure exactly how the technology works, but it allows them to identify the unique copy that you downloaded, so that if they find that copy on a file-sharing site, they will know you are the one who leaked it.

I see. That's a shame that it leaves a visible artifact.
