Edit function?

Is there any chance of getting an edit button that works, so you can edit comments within a certain period of time. It's never worked for as long as I've been on the forum...

you can edit the thread's main message if you are the creator of the thread i think

but you cant edit other messages

is super cool that the edit button doesnt work

that way people cant take back what they say and delete their own messages

deleting your stuff is chaos, and chaos is gross

Sure, but that's why I said you should be able to edit within a certain period of time, say a few minutes or whatever. That would give people plenty of time to fix typos or formatting, but wouldn't allow you to go back and change/delete stuff after people have responded to it.
