Don't expect to connect with everyone.
Hard core porn attracts a wide spectrum of personalities. In the best cases you find someone who shares your passion and you can have a meaningful exchange. in the worst case you just get annoyed.

Great point. I just wish that there was more respect | appreciation for porn legacy | history, not whats been released in past few days, although I understand this from commercial aspect...

I completely share this view.
But than we do have those Raul, JYL, Rocco discussions from time to time. And also SOS and old Sineplex, old pre-Luis/pre-Omar gonzo are discussed.
It could be more, though.

Yeah, but only a minimum engage with others in porn forums, I guess, and social networks take too much time and turn awaya a lot ppl from forum.
By the way, how many porn forums are still up 'n runnig? A few? :(

Thanks for that, DAPAddict. I think LP, or whatever you want to call it undervalues its great archives & legacy, I'm talking Sineplex through to CZxxxx. Its like the Rolling Stones going on tour saying they are only going to play music from their last album, when many of us are attending concerts out of fondness for the old classics.

I also share the nostalgia for older scenes like others have mentioned in this thread. It does seem that newer scenes are talked about much more than older stuff. I think part of this is also the fact that a lot of people on the site are probably younger (probably teens to early 20's.) Some of us have been around longer. We know the older studios, scenes, and girls that used to be popular. I've noticed my posts in asshole appreciation that concentrate on older girls and scenes get commented on less than newer girls and scenes. The posts with older scenes and girls will still continue though :)

I'll admit, I could be more active on the forum. I still lurk a lot and I still enjoy reading posts - especially threads dedicated to the models. I'm glad I started posting a couple years ago though. I'm enjoying being part of the community.

The forum is a reflection of the website, in particular, and the internet, in general.

I hate all that LP was better 5 years ago stuff blah blah blah but I will say the forum definitely was better 5 years ago. As LP/AV has increased its number of users and numbers of scenes released, the forum also has attracted a lot more contributors, which has led to an increase in quantity but not to an increase in quality. The change in direction of LP/AV to more fetishistic content - piss, manhandling, BBCs etc - has led to an increase in people who are really only interested in whatever fetish they happen to be into and whose only contribution to the forum is to say the same thing in slighty different ways over and over and over again. And then say it again. That's the thing about obsessives, they don't make very compelling conversationalists. There's also been a marked increase in creepy misogynists and laughable internet hardmen. Once upon a time we used to have the occasional female contributor to the forum - one in particular who some of the long term forum members might remember - but it's hard to imagine any woman wanting to post on here now, giving the collection of hateful drooling weirdoes and faux alpha males who frequent it now.

As for the internet, it's even stupider than it was 5 years ago and even more full of morons who, despite being incapable of forming a single original thought, think the entire world should stop and listen to whatever garbage they have to say on politics, culture, society etc - garbage they've picked up from some other moron on the internet, ouroboros-style - because it's their right. You're a good guy, netzer, and smart, but I'm not sure this is the right forum and, as presently constituted, the right audience for 'grown-up' conversation and debate.

Well put, Iddaoeeok. It's the same with every (maddening) crowd: more doesn't mean merrier. Even the few I've talked to (elsewhere) likewise interested in the deep-cut details of some obscure stuff are not interesting people.

Thank you so much for kind words, they mean a lot particularly from someone as straight-talking as yourself.

The respect is entirely mutual.

I've noticed this as well. When I see these type of posts or threads I just ignore them because I don't want to reply and be that poster who just bitches and complains. But, I have seen comments I find highly disturbing.

I think its mainly fans undervaluing it.
And yes, Idda, made a lot of valid imput. Pornbox users changed a lot since its mainly a clip platform and so does the forum. I was first very pleased of so many new members all over a sudden, but its mainly more seasoned members keeping some deeper discussions alive.
Btw, netzer, check your mail from time to time, although it is old-fashioned. ;)
