Off topic: Question for regular swimmers vs chlorine

Hi, I've been swimming daily past weeks & I look like I've aged 10 years in the face to my horror. At first I couldn't work it out then I wondered could it be the chlorine. I googled & yes, it strips your skin of natural oils. A tight rubber cap stops damage to hair good enough for me, but for the face? Will vaseline do the job before you dive in, followed by good moisturiser when you get out? Cheers for any constructive replies.

I just don’t think you’ll get great advice here.

Thanks for answer! I would've thought loads of guys would be belting it now in the sports with covid stuff lifted. I'm back running & tennis & swimming, hopefully getting my old bones playing football again, but one step at a time.

Cheers Brother, past 18 months been a drag for us all, a horribly unsociable drag where many of us been far too long online with pack of beers simply because little else to do socially.

I really want get the most out of July, August & September & the long sunlit days... hopefully get back old good habits to get me through winter. Heres hoping anyway! Its the best I can do.

I visited supermarket today to buy can of vaseline (for reasons given above). I was utterly nonchalant but the lady cashiers face was priceless.

Coconut oil is pretty good, as is the trade product Cetaphil.
Wearing vaseline will protect whatever it's applied to, but do you really want all that mess? Plus you're going to look pretty weird.
A public pool may not let you enter looking greased up

Thanks. Well I went in tonight using product called "Silcocks base" from Boots chemists, & they were cool about it in pool. It wasn't like vaseline, more like sunblock. A few stares but none from lifeguards. All good. It did the job.

Thanks Otto.
