I am also very disappointed about this. I was happy to see that there is a new scene with a really hot girl and that doesn't feature a certain male performer that I can't stand. But then, I go to watch the trailer only to see that it has a condom in it. Sigh!

You are completely missing the point. It's not a new trend or line. It's extra content. You can have this extra content, or the alternative : no scene at all. There is more to it than I can explain here.

Hmm. Well, I suppose if it's the only way to shoot with the girl at first, it's okay. Do what you have to do to discover new talent. However, you have to understand what this looks like from the perspective of your customers. Condoms have never been a part of LP before, and now they've shown up twice in the space of one week. That doesn't look promising.

Suggestion: Perhaps you should wait to release scenes with condoms until you have shot and released more, non-condom content with the girl in question. Then make sure you clearly label the condom scene as bonus content.

I sympathize with your situation, but I think the overwhelming negative reception here demonstrates that putting a condom scene out as a girl's debut is not a great idea, especially if she's not going to show up in any more scenes for a few weeks.

Since condoms are now mandatory in California and that most of the major studios are located there I thought that Europe based studios would take advantage of the situation. How people manage to not hate condoms is beyond me. While being a necessary but unpleasant nuisance in real life they have no place in porn, which happens to be an idealized depiction of sexual fantasies. Since I've noticed that the only two scenes that have condoms in them are scenes with brand new girls who are claimed to have been fucked right after casting, I agree that the presence of condoms in those scenes probably has more to do with the girls not being tested yet. My suggestion is for LP to start testing girls prior to casting if they want to continue with the series of fucking girls right after casting.

Wrong. AB1576 which would have affected the whole state of California was put on hold, porn companies in LA are still required to use condoms as Measure B remains in effect.

I remember seeing all the pornstars celebrating about how the condom bill had been defeated, so I just assumed that it was. I didn't bother to research it any further than that. In either case, it appears to be dead for the time being.

Again, I sympathize with you and I know that what you're doing is necessary, but you have a bit of a marketing problem on your hands here. To the average consumer, regardless of what's going on behind the scenes, it LOOKS like you've decided to start shooting scenes with condoms for some bizarre reason. Just label the scenes clearly as bonus post-casting content and you should be fine. Like, in big capital letters at the beginning of each scene title, put something along the lines of "BONUS POST-CASTING SCENE".
