Things have certainly changed. In 2013 none of the top 100 sellers for the year involved DAP - presumably none were filmed - and Abby (gorgeous model) had three of the top 50 solo scenes with one DP, which headed the list, and a couple of one on one anal. I'm certainly not saying it's bad that things have changed, because it most definitely isn't. 2nd thought added here, alekseich: Sales rank of course doenst correspond to $$$ investment into that scene always. Thus maybe DP only with that quite low fees sex act pays actually ok if sales are reasonable. Sure depends on the girl. The Gonzo DP scenes do sell all right. The four leading scenes in the best sellers list are without any DAP at all - the Veronica Leal's ones. And out of the 15 scenes, 8 are without DAP. So, it is not DAP itself that is important, but the hardcoreness of the scenes and quality of girls. Those without DAP were in general less hardcore, without the piss, fisting, manhandling, IR and so on. Usually, those scenes were with little-known, unexperienced girls (sometimes not so attractive). That's why they didn't sell, not because of DAP itself. As far as I can see DAP is not important in terms of whether a scene is going to sell or not.

Your point is too generic. You have really to "split" the release with high sales in several group
- what sells good mostly because of the model
- what sells good because of a a combination that included model/sex acts
- what sells good because of the sex act mostly
- what sells good mostly because of the model and because the model is new or unknown or fucked not properly on other websites

Also, LP releases like 3 premium scene/day regularly now. This means over 1000 scenes/year. The top 100, on yearly base, represent 10% of the content. I think the scenes between position 70 and position 250 are a better representation of the audience. What ever is on the very top of the list had a too wide audience to define the main audience.

Lets do not talk about the top 100 ever, as it represent a list of scenes released over many years and with the website acquiring member day by day, it is really hard to analyze. I personally can see difference on a 3 month base just checking the monthly best seller list.

With this I do not mean I do not have to consider scenes on the top of the best seller list, I just try to define the audience at LP.

I don't understand this. "Popularity" per LP algorithm presumably is measured by unit sales? But profitability is different.
e.g. a 1x1 scene is cheaper to make than a 10x1, and can be profitable on lower unit sales, but may be considered less "popular".
