New cameramen?!? [Feedback - Poll]

The idea of GL at now is to setup a small team for shoot on other city, but we are very far away from the goal.
I tested some cameraman but Im not satisfy at all

I rated quite BAD the new boys introduced by Giorgio in its STUDIO for some simple reasons:

[1] 0% passion & 0% ability presenting a new girl, they speak to the girl like they're ordering a coffee in a bar;
[2]NONE languages skill, they don't translate from Russian;
[3]for the rest of the shooting they just copied (not properly) the GIORGIO's style, so no personality!!!

I hope Giorgio can write who is the director of the shooting (him or others) so I know what to do!

I want to see the camerawork of GG like in some scenes where you see the whole body + feet . That happended more often in the old times .

The last scene by Giorgio's studio was "Balls Deep Only Ciara Riviera (GIO790)" where there's an Olympic ANAL action but the presentation of the girl last only 10 secs(she said simply her name!!!).
This is the FIRST movie of this studio where, introducing a new girl, the director/cameraman never speaks to the girl, only Dylan Brown communicates some words in French!!!
Why don't you valorize more your female talents???

It's very precious and intriguing to see and hear a director who interacts with the actors and translate for the public!!!

Honestly, the new guy does a remarkable job replicating Giorgio's style and...even better, his scenes tend to have longer running times. Longer = more action packed into a scene to enjoy.

I think a director has to show at least a bit of temperament......

..even better, his scenes tend to have longer running times. Longer = more action packed into a scene to enjoy.

Action has never been a problem here in LP!!!

Actually, I was referring to the Russian cameraman (I think he's Russian) Gio was using this Spring...then he lost him to Visa issues. I thought he was back?? I could be wrong. In any case, that guy was very good capturing classic Gio type heat and action.

Other cameramen I thought Gio was testing via his Giorgio's Lab studio label.

Yes, he was the best in the company but sadly he speaks only Russian....a bit difficult to understand him as, for example, in the admirable presentation of Daria Zemskaya!!!

The Russian one was fairly good, but I missed the nice Giorgio warm-up conversation.
Ideally thats in a mix of english and russian like Giorgio does it, but thats a minor thing actually. Some pre and post shot smalltalk however is nice!

Giorgio also tested a clearly non-Russian cameraman lately and maybe another one more. Frankly lost count a bit, but these (or that one) wasnt as good as Alexey, the Spring Russian one.
The all get a set of positions to shoot, some pictures how it has to look and be framed by their camera and thats fine as it insures some scene consistency.
Still within this basic frame I'd expect them to get some sort of individual touch and some basic emotional relation with the girl they shoot.
This didn't happen with nobody yet. Or it happened as with Alexey in a negative cold way to be felt at times.
Bad because the girls should ideally get to a point they do an extra mile just for the director!

Finally all new support directors Giorgio tried out so far got problems with too many side shots.

Last but not least I really would like more transparency who shoot which scene for GIO!
Not to avoid scenes, as I buy them for the girls and action (the DAPs!), but just to know.

I'm interested that you describe Giorgio's talk bits as "nice" as I tend to have a bit of a problem with them on occasion. I'm not sure if he just isn't very good at them but I often also detect a bit of antipathy towards the girls or a superiority complex or something. I've listed some examples in other threads so won't repeat those but I noticed 2 others in scenes I've just bought.

In the Julia Red Waka Waka scene he seems a bit patronising to Julia and then starts shouting "Wink at me! Wink at me!" when the guys pull her panties to one side to show her asshole. Childish and for me a real wood killer. Fortunately it doesn't do too much damage to the scene.

Then there's the new Kristy Black scene where he says to her "You know how gorgeous you are, right?" so she sort of looks away embarrassed and the tone then becomes really awkward. There's nothing intrinsically wrong with that comment except that she must hear it all the time in bars and clubs etc. and it probably just isn't what she wants to hear in that moment. She's horny so I would think just wants to hear something to bring that out (I know that I do as a male viewer). And it's not really an appropriate comment on a porn set is it? You don't need to talk her into anything! Of course tell her she's gorgeous but don't make her have to confront or "deal with" it by way of a response. Just say "Oh my God - you're gorgeous!" and watch her beam back or something.

I might be a harsh judge because I used to love Christoph Clark's work and he was the master at making the girls look relaxed and bringing out their slutty side with his talk intros ("Oh zees is incredible! You are so beautiful!" etc.) By comparison I think most others would come up short. Nonetheless, whilst Giorgio might not be intrinsically nasty he is a bit confrontational verbally and comes across as "I've got the camera so this is my domain" when he should just be subjecting himself to the girls and accepting them as the stars IMHO. The pieces often come across as jousts or tests to see if the girls' personalities are to his liking or something.

I've gone a bit off topic then but my point would be that if any new cameramen are as good as Giorgio at capturing the best angles and can either improve on the talk intro/outro or just ditch them altogether (ideally the former as they do add heat when done well) then I would be on board. At present I have a love/hate thing with Giorgio. His camerawork is top notch (save the odd gaffe like the Brittany Bardot Waka Waka where he butchers the standing anal scenes for some reason) and his scenes are sensational but I nearly always fast-forward through his opening talk sections (impossible when they involve interaction with the porn guys, however, as with the Julia example) and once the sex action has finished I can't hit the stop button fast enough for the same reason.

First post-scene smalltalk with Giorgio is usually nicer than pre-scene talk, but to me your last few examples sound hair-splitting, especially the Kristy Black one. You seem to forget that Giorgio is not of english mother tongue and so are most of his girls. Second more than feeling hot for the studs most of these girls feel again at work and thus some funny or surprising warm-up talk is more appropriate than a lot of always the same Christoph Clark like compliments often. This said back than I also started to like his strange french accent when doing so, but this kind of talk you could sure call patronizing as well.

Well, basically I just wanted to say its much nicer to hear Giorgios warm-up talk than his assistant directors muteness or cold ordering coffee like speeches.

As far as warm-up talk and post scene talk is concerned we would better open a separate thread, though!
For I feel its a special element of cameramen side-work task rather than the main point of his work.
Good you brought it up so, as generally there are again interesting forum subjects finally!
